This is the leader Frank Williams meant in the video. You can make it yourself, but this is so easy, because it's already tapered.
This leader I use myself. And this is the way the Czechs fish for trout and grayling. A leader of 9m directly attached to the backing. So you fish without a fly line. You have to get used to it perhaps, but it's very effective. On the long leader you connect the Hi Vis indicator and then a thin tippet with 2 or sometimes even 3 nymphs. Take a look at the video.
